Master ABA

Empower, Advocate, Transform

At Master ABA, we envision a world where Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is practiced ethically, respectfully, and with a focus on empowering autistic individuals. We believe in building bridges, not barriers, and celebrating neurodiversity while teaching critical skills.

Why Master ABA?

We know how hard it is to find information you can trust. There’s so much out there, but a lot of it is contradictory, impractical, or even promotes unethical practices. Master ABA is different. We provide clear, actionable resources that prioritize client well-being and meaningful outcomes. Our courses, posts, and resources are all designed to help you provide the best possible support for your clients.

Master ABA was born out of frustration and a deep desire for change within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Our mission is to provide ABA professionals with the tools and resources they need to move the field in a more compassionate direction.

Through education and empowerment, we help every Behavior Analyst stand up for their clients.

I definitely didn't get here overnight though.

In fact, quite the opposite...

My journey started in New Hampshire, where I had the privilege of leading an incredible ABA program. We focused on providing exceptional client care, strong parent support, and a positive work environment. It was an ideal setting that aligned perfectly with my values.

However, a move to Florida brought new challenges. I joined a for-profit ABA company, drawn in by their promises of autonomy and support. The reality was starkly different. I found myself staring at reports that prioritized client revenue over client well-being. The focus on profits over people left me feeling deeply disillusioned.

This experience, coupled with subsequent negative encounters with other for-profit ABA companies, fueled my determination to create something better. I knew there had to be a way to provide ethical, client-centered ABA services without compromising my values.

That's when Dianna and I got serious about Master ABA. We were determined to build a platform that empowers BCBAs® to take control of their careers and provide services that truly benefit their clients.

I know so many of you are faced with challenges like the ones I faced. You’re working for companies who put profits before clients and staff. You work ridiculous hours just to earn a decent salary. The reality of your work doesn’t align with the vision you had when you first decided to become a BCBA.

Dianna and I created the Beyond Boundaries: Freedom Frameworks to help you take control of your career. To give you the freedom to choose who you work for or with and how you will work. Using this framework to create an alternative income stream frees you from relying on big business to support your family. Build the career that perfectly aligns with your values and desires. I’m here to help you so you don’t have to go through what I went through.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to tolerate unethical demands from your company.

Too many ABA professionals feel trapped in situations where they're pressured to prioritize profits over clients, compromise their ethical standards, or work unsustainable hours. But it doesn't have to be this way.

There are other options.

You can create a career that aligns with your values, where you have the autonomy to make ethical decisions and prioritize the well-being of your clients.

Here's how:

  • Develop alternative income streams: Explore options like private practice, consulting, or creating your own online courses. This can reduce your reliance on a single employer and give you more control over your work.

  • Advocate for change within your organization: Don't be afraid to speak up about ethical concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to push for more client-centered practices.

  • Join a community of like-minded professionals: Connect with other BCBAs who share your commitment to ethical and compassionate ABA. Support each other, share resources, and work together to elevate the field.

  • Invest in your professional development: Continuously learn and grow your skills to increase your value and expand your career opportunities.

Together, we can change the field. By refusing to accept the status quo and actively working towards a more ethical and client-centered approach, we can transform the field of ABA. Join us in building a future where ABA professionals are empowered to provide the best possible support for autistic individuals and their families.

The Master ABA Difference: How We Do It Differently

We're not just another ABA company. We're building a movement that prioritizes ethical practices, client-centered care, and the empowerment of ABA professionals. Here's how we stand out:

  • Focus on Values: We believe that ABA should be about more than just modifying behavior. It should be about empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives. Our resources and training emphasize ethical decision-making, respect for neurodiversity, and a commitment to client well-being.

  • Community-Driven Approach: We foster a strong community of like-minded BCBAs who support each other, share ideas, and work together to elevate the field. We believe that collaboration and collective action are essential for driving positive change.

  • Emphasis on Practical Skills: We go beyond theory and provide BCBAs with the practical tools and strategies they need to succeed in their careers. Our courses and resources are designed to be actionable and relevant to real-world challenges.

  • Commitment to Accessibility: We believe that everyone should have access to high-quality ABA training and resources. We offer a variety of affordable options and strive to make our content accessible to BCBAs at all stages of their careers.

  • Transparency and Authenticity: We're open and honest about our values, our methods, and our own journeys. We believe in building trust with our community and fostering a culture of open communication.

  • Advocacy for Change: We're not afraid to challenge the status quo and advocate for a more ethical and client-centered approach to ABA. We believe that by working together, we can transform the field and create a better future for autistic individuals and their families.

Care to get even more personal?

Here are a few fun facts…

I traded the mountains of New Hampshire ("Live free or die!") for the beaches of Florida.

I live with my husband, daughter, and a tiny but mighty Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix. When I'm not working to transform ABA, I love anything that involves being on or near the water – especially paddleboarding! (And yes, I once had a running streak that lasted almost two years...until COVID had other plans.)

Not to give you whiplash and get all "serious" all of a sudden, but just in case you prefer a professional bio...

I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) who earned my Master’s in ABA from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I have been working with children since 1996, and specifically with children with autism since 2009. My passion has long been helping children with autism and their families meet their full potential. More recently I've become dedicated to helping professionals in the field feel empowered to lead the field toward compassionate, client-centered care.
